Mental Health Coaching

In the my book, Healing From Depression: 12 Steps to a Better Mood, I state that an essential tool in recovering from depression is having a “recovery partner” or “recovery coach.” This is someone who can be your guide and can help you to complete the better mood recovery program. Each week you would check in with this individual, share your vision statement, and work on your goal of the week.

Ideally, your recovery coach will be someone who lives close to you. If you are not able to locate such a person in your area, I am willing to serve as a mental health coach. We would communicate weekly by phone and by email as you participate in the 12 week program that is outlined in the book.

I developed the better mood recovery program to help myself heal. Since my recovery, I have worked as a midwife to help others emerge from episodes of anxiety and depression. In each case, the individual’s recovery would not have been possible without the loving support of one or more people. My experience tells me that if you set the intention to heal, reach out for support and follow the guidelines in my book and on this web site, you will greatly maximize the chances of reducing your symptoms and making a full recovery.
